If you are windows users and wanted to get start with linux I would suggest you to choose Ubuntu from Debian Distribution family. Ubuntu have a great Graphical User Interface for your common work. In the same time your can learn to work with commands. Also with windows 10 you can have ubuntu shell with in your windows maching this could be a great start.
