One four-character idiom appears daily with its meaning. Try to guess the four characters within six attempts. Today's Idiom • Look at the meaning and enter the four-character idiom. It appears in red if the character is in the correct position, and yellow if it is not. • If you guess correctly, the Chinese characters of that idiom are displayed. Click on each character to view its meaning and pronunciation, and the character is added to the Chinese character encyclopedia. • Today's Idiom is the same question for everyone. Your correct answer rate and consecutive records accumulate. • We notify you every morning at 8:00 AM that a new idiom has been unlocked (only if you want). • Practice Tab — An endless board of beginner, intermediate, and advanced idioms. Idiom Collection Encyclopedia • Contains 408 four-character idioms. From familiar expressions like *Ilseokijjo* (killing two birds with one stone) and *Saengongjima* (a blessing in disguise) to ancient tales like *Washinsangdam* (sleeping on a thorny bush) and *Sunmangchihan* (sunsun and teeth). • The idioms you guess correctly are collected in the encyclopedia. Clicking on them reveals the characters and their meanings again. ** Ministry of Education Basic Hanja 1,800 Characters • Hanja Tab — Every day, one Hanja appears as a blank in a word (e.g., 山□ 산□). Each time you select a character, a chip shows you how close the radical, stroke count, and pronunciation are to the correct answer. • The characters are from the Ministry of Education's "Basic Hanja 1,800 for Classical Chinese Education." When you first enter the Hanja tab, you determine your level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced) through a nine-question proficiency check. • 60-Second Quiz — Questions involving reading the character based on its pronunciation, reading the pronunciation based on the character, reading a word, and selecting the word that matches the meaning appear in a mix. 3 seconds are deducted for each incorrect answer. Five Tabs • Idioms — Today's Four-Character Idiom. • Hanja — One Character a Day. • Practice — Choose Four-Character Idioms and Hanja endlessly. • Hanja Quiz — 60-Second Hanja Quiz. • Encyclopedia — All the Four-Character Idioms and Hanja you get right are collected, no matter where you answer correctly.
