Concrete volume, bags and ready-mix cost for slabs, posts, columns and steps
Concrete Volume Calculator tells you how much concrete to order or how many bags to buy, and whether bags or ready-mix costs less for the job. • Seven shapes: rectangular slab, trench footing, post holes, round slab, round columns, solid steps and ring walls • Work in feet and inches with cubic yards, or in metres and millimetres with cubic metres; switching converts what you typed • Add a waste percentage so you don't run short on pour day • Get the total volume, an order amount rounded up to the next quarter yard (or quarter cubic metre) and the number of 60 lb and 80 lb bags • Bags vs ready-mix: enter a bag price, a ready-mix price and an optional short-load fee to see which option is cheaper, by how much, and the approximate break-even volume • Pour list: add several pours (a slab, its steps and the post holes) and get one combined order, bag count and cost comparison • Get guidance on bag mix, mixer rental or ready-mix delivery for the job size • Start from presets for a patio slab, shed pad, trench footing or fence posts • Save jobs with notes and reload them later without retyping
