CompareOpen in Google PlayGreat for wood. This has a small detector which is critical to my application, woodworking and stains. The small spot allows one to test different parts of the grain. It comes with a centering target to assist this. Excellent in every way. Allows me mix and match stains and also adjust opacity by adding paints. I use it on both water based and oil based colorants.
fast and easy to use. takes the guesswork out of selecting a color match.
good app but lack of options and information
Work great, until they forced subscription. Now I have a Color Muse paperweight.

I didn't spend $100+ to be ushered into a subscription with Sherwin Williams, the world's worst bucket of paint, I bought it to match color on my wall and get my choice of paint. While it has other paints, it pushes SW to the top and encourages it for the match. If you really wanted to impress me, you would push to the Home Depot app via API.

This app used to be great. I bought a $200+ device to match paint colors for real jobs, not to be forced into subscriptions later. Hiding paint brand libraries behind a paywall after people already bought the hardware is ridiculous. I’m a painter. I need Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, Valspar — not Pantone subscriptions. This feels like a downgrade, not an improvement.

I bought it as there was no subscription, unlike the others. Now there is a subscription. Shame!

Brian, Thank you for your response. You are able to save closest matches by selecting the product then scrolling down under "actions". There you will be able to save the closest match. If you have more questions please email customersupport@variableinc.com
device won't connect. can't set up an account. when I try, it says email already in use. when I try to log in, it says account does not exist. terrible app. terrible product. can't connect to servers. absolute waste of money.

Doesn't work with Color muse 1. It connects but never shows any matches.
