easy to use but you need money
app freezes from time to time. filtered searching does not gets the result or shows blank page.
i used workaway for one year. i wrote hunderts of requests, spent days in checking profiles, but i hardly ever received any answers. the ones i did, it turned out to be really bad: no heating at freezing temperatures, or being asked to work in a garden infested with leeches, or being charged for housing same as a hotel, not receiving food, etc-somehow this website attracts this kind of people. i had a good experience though, just one in one year. an a neutral one.

It freezes. The desktop version is more user friendly and easier to navigate when scrolling and looking for host information at a glance. Also there are a lot of ghost hosts who read messages but do not respond.

The spam filter wrongly penalizes legitimate users. Finding suitable hosts takes hours, and similar applications are natural when applying for similar projects with the same skills needed. I contacted around 100 hosts over 10 months, yet was blocked after applying for just 15 more. Many hosts reply only weeks later, making it necessary to contact several at once. As a paying member, I'd expect the system to better distinguish genuine users from actual spam.

They delete or censor negative reviews, even if they can be useful to avoid exploitative or harmful hosts. Terrible app
Worst experience ever!!! Think about it thoroughly before choosing a host. And these people from this app doesn't help you with anything... Be aware... The Host family took advantage of me... And I even got physical abuse and verbal.
Cannot enter email on sign-in page, so I cannot access my paid account on my phone. When I try to enter my email, the screen turns white, and what I type is not entered into the email field. I can enter the password into its field, but not the other.

for a new user, buying a service for 59$ + 5$ fees upfront is almost equivalent to a daylight scam. I'm sure this app is very good for what it is designed for some people, but there's no such thing as "a miracle that cures everything" in this world: what am I buying? what service does it provide? what am I paying for? That's the thing, you don't know and you are obliged to pay or go fish.
