Measure noise in real dB. Sound level meter, spectrum analyzer & noise log.
How loud is it, really? SoundNova turns your phone into a decibel meter you can actually trust — a live dB readout, a real frequency analyzer, and a history of every measurement you take. No sign-up, no account, and your audio is never recorded. MEASURE SOUND IN REAL DECIBELS • Live sound level meter with a large, easy-to-read dB display • Min, average (Leq), max (Lmax) and true peak (Lpeak) — shown separately, because they are different measurements • Scrolling noise graph so you can see how loud it was a minute ago, not just now • Fast and slow time weighting, like a real SPL meter REAL A, C AND Z FREQUENCY WEIGHTING Most free sound meter apps give you one number. SoundNova implements proper IEC 61672 A-weighting and C-weighting filters — the same weighting curves used in real acoustics work — plus unweighted Z. dB(A) for how loud it feels to human ears, dB(C) for bass-heavy noise, dB(Z) for the raw level. FREQUENCY SPECTRUM ANALYZER See which frequency is actually causing the problem. The built-in real-time spectrum analyzer breaks the sound into frequency bands and shows you the dominant one — useful for tracing a hum, a rattle, a fan, or a neighbour's subwoofer. SAVE, COMPARE AND EXPORT • Save any measurement with a name and a note • Full history with a chart of every session • Compare two measurements side by side • Export a session as CSV, or share it as an image Perfect for logging a noisy workplace, a loud neighbour, a machine that is getting worse, or a room before and after soundproofing. NOISE ALERTS Set a decibel threshold and how long it must be exceeded, and SoundNova warns you with an on-screen banner and a vibration when your environment gets too loud. CALIBRATION Every phone microphone is different. A simple calibration offset lets you match SoundNova to a reference meter or a known quiet room, so your readings mean something on your device. NOISE LEVEL GUIDE A built-in reference chart explaining what 30 dB, 60 dB, 85 dB and 110 dB actually sound like, and how long exposure at each level is considered safe. BUILT FOR PRIVACY • Your audio is NEVER recorded, saved or uploaded — sound is analysed in memory and discarded • Measurements stay on your device • Only the microphone permission is requested — no location, no contacts, no files, no storage access • Measuring works completely offline HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY SoundNova is not a certified sound level meter and should not be used for legal, workplace-safety or medical decisions. Phone microphones are built for speech and vary by device, and very loud sounds can exceed what the hardware can report. Calibrate it, and SoundNova gives you a genuinely useful measurement of the noise around you — we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. WHO USES SOUNDNOVA • Anyone dealing with noisy neighbours or traffic noise • Musicians, DJs and audio engineers checking a room • Parents checking a nursery, a classroom or a toy • Workshop, gym, restaurant and office owners • Anyone protecting their hearing Dark theme, Material 3 design, no clutter. Download SoundNova and find out how loud your world actually is. — Zavi Studio Questions or feedback: zavistudioinfo@gmail.com
