Hi Peter, ZenSMS imports your existing messages from Android, but spam labels from your previous app don’t transfer, so old spam can reappear. Spam filtering checks new incoming messages. Automatically reclassifying your entire history risks flagging legitimate texts too, so it isn’t part of the import process.
none of the spam blocking works. it's caught 1 out of 11 of the spam political posts even though every single one is utterly obvious. tried to use a filter on Stop2End which should work perfectly and it still fails. lots of ui bugs including the screen spazzing out when i try to type into the filters list.

Thanks for reporting this. Custom filters contribute to spam detection rather than always blocking matches, so 'Stop2End' may not trigger on Balanced. Strict may help but can flag legitimate texts. I also want to look into the filter-screen issue. Please email support@zensms.app with a Diagnostic Bundle.
i want to love it since i paid for the premium but i have too many issues sending anything

Could you email support@zensms.app with details about what's failing (texts, photos, or groups) and a Diagnostic Bundle from Settings → Diagnostics? I'd really appreciate the chance to investigate.
App works great. Especially I like the feature where it groups similar sender codes. I have never tried another app that handles sender codes like this, usually it is messy. Here all messages from same sender comes under the same thread even though the codes are not always the same. One suggestion is about the app icon. It looks good, but doesn't suit an sms app, I think.

This app is exactly what I wanted to filter out annoying political and other unwanted messages. It sends valid massages to the Personal or Transactions folders and blocks notifications from unwanted messages.

Works but can't send attachments so I must swap to another app for sending an image, changing the defaults, then remember to switch back and change the defaults. Slightly less exhausting than deleting spam texts.

Thanks for reporting this. I understand how frustrating it is to switch messaging apps just to send a photo. ZenSMS supports picture MMS, so please check that Settings → Messaging → SMS only mode is OFF. If it already is, please email support@zensms.app with what happens when you try sending an image. I'd like to investigate!
extremely impressive. no intrusive permission popups and and one of the cleanest interfaces I've seen. perfect job the time has come to replace google msgs ✨✨

you added many good features but you skipped One of the most important thind. no pin code or biometric login for opening app for privacy. no notifications privacy hiding number and content etc. please implement
