Guitar Tuner is a free chromatic tuner for acoustic and electric guitar, ukulele, bass, violin and other stringed instruments, with a metronome, chord library and ear training. No subscription and no paid tunings. Why musicians like it • Stable needle with a clear IN TUNE state: green glow and a gentle vibration • Beginner hints: Tighten ↑ or Loosen ↓, so you know which way to turn the peg • Three looks to choose from: an arc gauge with a headstock, a neon gauge with a live waveform, or a minimal dial • No full-screen ads while you tune, and none while the microphone is listening Instruments and tunings • Guitar (6, 7 and 12 strings), bass (4 and 5 strings), ukulele, violin, viola, cello, banjo, mandolin, balalaika and a chromatic mode • Standard, Drop D, Drop C, Half Step Down, Open G, Open D, DADGAD, Nashville and more • Your own custom tunings and an adjustable reference pitch (A4 = 432, 440, 442, 443 Hz or any value from 415 to 466) Metronome • 20-300 BPM, tap tempo, time signatures from 2/4 to 12/8, accents per beat, subdivisions and a speed trainer Chords • Guitar and ukulele chord diagrams with several positions, search by name (Am7, F#m) and a sound preview Ear training • Note recognition, higher or lower, intervals and tuning by ear, with daily streaks Privacy • Sound from the microphone is processed only on your phone. It is never recorded or sent anywhere.
