Radar without the noise. See when the storm reaches you.
Simply Radar shows the National Weather Service's own radar on a calm, dark map — and adds the one thing every radar app leaves you to guess: when that storm actually gets to where you are.
MEASURE THE STORM.
Tap Measure, drag the crosshair onto the leading edge of a cell, and read the distance, speed, direction, and an arrival window for your location — with a confidence rating that tells you how steady the storm's motion has been. "Passing north", "passing south", and "moving away" are answers too.
REAL RADAR, PUBLIC DATA.
Imagery is NOAA's quality-controlled MRMS composite for the contiguous United States, refreshed roughly every 5–8 minutes. Loop the last 15 minutes or the last 4 hours; scrub frame by frame; play at ½×, 1× or 2×.
WARNINGS, UNEDITED.
Watches and warnings from the US National Weather Service, drawn on the map and listed in one tab — the NWS's own products, not a summary of them.
AN ARRIVAL NUDGE.
While the app is open, a notification fires when a measured storm's arrival time drops under your threshold.
QUIET BY DESIGN.
No accounts. No servers of ours. Your location is used on your phone to place the target and sent only to the National Weather Service to fetch the warnings at that point. Four base map styles, miles or kilometres, light, dark or system theme.
FREE MEASURES TO WHERE YOU ARE.
Premium is a subscription: no ads, place the target anywhere or save named locations, and every radar update interval. Cancel any time in Google Play.
Arrival times are estimates. Radar is minutes behind real time and storms change without notice. Always follow official National Weather Service warnings and local emergency instructions.
