I love this app. all the settings are cool and I one time even captured the milky way. I even captured the northern lights too. It doesn't crash and it doesn't lag. But unfortunately the zoom option doesn't zoom at 10x which is how far my phone camera app zooms in. I hope an update comes out where the zoom is either that much or more than that.

Ap delivers what promises. For me - just intervals for time lapse. I struggle though to have control fully over the sensor and cameras. It is allegedly 50mp sensor wide and ultrawide, but only wide is available. And I cannot find the app that is using its native 50mp, but only binned 12mp, which may be better for astro, although lack of ultrawide camera access is sad for milkyway landscape takes. Hopefully your app never dies and you will keep it for years to come.

Regarding 50 mp: these are the pixel in Bayer matrix (4 pixels in mostly red green green blue form one pixel) which gives you 50/4 nearly 12 mp in the result image. Regarding camera sensors: oppo defines how many sensors a 3rd party camera app can access.
this app makes no sense, read up on frames needed for stacking. flat frames it says are too dark in daylight with sheet of printer paper over lenses. WHAT? and darks gwt rejected because it can't find any stars...DUH. get it working properly before offering it on play store.

App and live stacking is well tested and works pretty good. If you want to stack flat or dark frames only you must turn off option "analyze and align" on "settings" page in "photo live stacking". Live stacking searches for stars by default. Please read the manual (over 120 pages) first: open app - tap three dots upper right corner - manual.

Tap format icon in control bar and switch to jpeg. Please check also comprehensive manual (over 130 pages!) to learn about the app and how to use it.
It actually works. More than worth the price. Be honest: how much was your last astro camera? And best of all: the developer actually listens to your requests and has the ability to make the impossible possible. Like 30sec exposure even on the tele camera of Sony Xperia 1 III. My experience so far: fun to make deep sky images with the mobile phone although you cannot expect that your phone compares with a dedicate astro cam and scope. I truely recommend it.

(Pixel 9 pro) whenever I try and use this app it will freeze and lock up at around 40-50 image in. on the rare occasion it gets past 50 it works ok. but when it freezes and locks up it doesn't save any images or the stacked version when in stacking mode. So until this is fixed and I can use the app without being annoying into giving up. I'll be sticking with my phones inbuilt astrophotography mode and manually taking and stacking on my computer.(Edit: No, it didn't save anything there)

I have the same device here in my test lab and app runs fine. Please get in touch with me (webmaster@deepskycamera.de). I want to investigate the issue. I need more details (shutter speed, ISO, interval time, which objects do you want to stack, do you really try to stack images from night sky etc.). Thanks!
Tried the Pro version after having a good experience with the Free version. Unfortunately for me the Pro version outputs images completely riddled with red/blue noise, even when using the same settings as I do on the Free version (10 second exposure, 800 ISO). Really wanted to upgrade but it seems that I can only actually get use out of the Free version so I'll be sticking with that I suppose. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S9+

I'm so sorry but I can not confirm your issue. I have the same device here in my test lab. I run tests with both apps and same settings yesterday night and I dont see a difference in the images taken with both apps. Did you change the settings in one of the apps? it doesn't work on galaxy s25. whatever settings you apply, all photos end up white. sometimes it is getting stuck after taking only 1 picture in photo live stacking. I tried to use it for a few hours now. in my opinion it's a waste of money and time.

App is tested on Samsung s24 and s25 models and app works great. When image is white that means image is overexposed. What were your settings of the images (not of viewfinder). Did you try to stack images from the night sky or did you try to stack non night sky images? Please get in touch with me, i can help you (webmaster@deepskycamera.de).
