The issue is finally resolved, but the cross-store restore process is very confusing. It actually requires two steps: first, support must enable the cross-store restore on their side. Only after that do you have to submit a new “Restore Other Store” message from the app. If you send the message before support has enabled it, nothing happens. That is what caused the confusion for me, because after several failed requests I naturally stopped sending the same message again. The process works.
After renewing my yearly subscription it no longer works. I can't transfer anythi ng from my phone to my watch.

please help fix the VIEWER ORIENTATION (Auto Sensor) issues. Many videos are not rotating to the correct layout automatically while playing.
