First release. A row counter that works without a pattern, a shelf of projects and built-in knitting and crochet charts that remember your row. No account, no network, no ads.
Row counter for knitting and crochet, with 80 patterns written out row by row
Tap the big button after every row and the row counter keeps the number for you. Pick one of 80 knitting and crochet patterns, and the instruction for your current row appears right under the count. Counting starts the moment the app opens, with nothing to choose first. Minus one takes back a tap too many, and undo reverses the last change. Reset asks first, because it cannot be undone. The library covers eight kinds of item. Hats, socks, mittens and sweaters are knitted on needles. Scarves, blankets, bags and toys are worked with a hook. Every kind comes in four sizes, from baby to large, and in easy, medium and hard versions. You can filter the list by kind. Each pattern gives the gauge (tension) per 10 cm, the needle or hook size in millimetres, the weight of 100 m of the yarn and the repeat. Below that come the full instructions in order, with your place shaded. A separate list holds 40 basic stitches, 20 for knitting and 20 for crochet. It runs from garter stitch, rib and cables to granny squares, shells, bobbles and filet mesh. Each one shows its repeat in stitches and rows. My projects keeps up to 20 projects, open and finished. Come back after a week or a month and a project opens where you stopped. A plain count is saved as a project too. Your hands are full while you work, so the screen can stay on for as long as you count. A left-handed layout mirrors the buttons under the counter. You can export your projects to a text file whenever you like. • Row counter with minus one, undo and a reset that asks first • 80 patterns in four sizes, written out line by line • 40 basic stitches with their repeats • Up to 20 projects that reopen where you stopped • Left-handed layout and a screen that stays on • Light and dark theme • English, Russian, Polish, German and Spanish Good to know The counter counts taps, not rows. The app does not see your knitting: if you work a row without tapping, the counter will not know. One more tap puts it right. The count works while the app is open and does not run in the background. The app uses US terms: stockinette is stocking stitch in the UK, and single crochet is UK double crochet. The patterns are our own, written from a template and proofread by hand. No one else's published design is reproduced. The app has no account and no network permission. Projects are saved on the phone, and the phone's own backup can move them to a new one. Independent development: one person builds and maintains this app. A letter to support@markarov.dev is read by that person, not by a support desk.
