the best. period.
Such a great experience with OpenCloud. Long live Golang.
works as designed
Upload and download. No content streaming, photo upload only works on creation so you can't auto-sync what you have. The app is great for large shared transfers from android to server from file manager. It's robust where it stands. I had odd issues with changing network and uploads not resuming. App is barebones and needs more dev time. Server and app does not have native calendar, epub readers, file viewing or customisable auto-sync folder.
first time making a local cloud service and opencloud worked lovely
Better that google drive. Simple to setup and can be local with Tailscale.
nice private 👌
The desktop side works fine, but the Android app advertises automatic photo upload and then cannot see the folder my camera actually writes to. My photos are not in DCIM/Camera and there is nowhere in the app to point the uploader somewhere else. Folder selection has been an open request since December. Manual upload works perfectly, so the app can clearly read my media, it just will not do the one thing it says it does. Nextcloud has handled this for years.

Seems ok on very brief usage but can only upload a file and not folders which is not optimal.

way faster and more reliable than nextcloud!
