downloaded only to realise most features are locked behind a pay wall with the ever so shady reasoning of "you paying helps you commit to quitting" absolutely hilarious, no thanks.

Developing and maintaining an app like Kwit takes a lot of time and money. Without the support of Premium users, the app simply couldn't exist—not even in its free version.
collects data in advance, locks it behind paywall

The first time I've used this app was in 2012. It was completely free at that time and I loved it. While I did go back to smoke, this app at the time helped me a lot. Fast forward 14 years and I had a heart attack. I definitely had to quit smoking, no second guessing about it. My first thought was this app. I installed it remembering the simple graphics and the motivational targets it set. Started the app looking forward to it, created my new account and suddenly... Subscription? Payments? F.

We’re so sorry to hear about your heart attack and wish you a full recovery. Kwit was free in 2012, but it has evolved significantly since then. As a result, developing and maintaining an app like Kwit requires a lot of work and money. Without the support of Premium users, Kwit simply couldn’t exist—not even as a free version.
won't give you the majority of the features you really want without paying. I use it to track progress and like what I do get, but hate that it blocks so much, it's actually discouraging.

We're sorry you feel that way. However, developing and maintaining an app like Kwit requires a lot of work and money. Without the support of Premium users, Kwit simply couldn't exist—not even as a free version. Plus, the subscription will always be cheaper than smoking.
If I were to give you money for my cigarettes so that I could quit smoking, perhaps through software, I would rather give this money to a nutritious snack or alternative. There are other apps that offer completely similar features and even more, but they don't ask for any money and are completely free. Thank you and your sponsor.

very shady. it's very obviously their intention to make unsuspecting people that just click through the menu's, sign up for a yearly membership after a free trial of 3 days. so generous! don't recommend, there are other free alternatives that also don't mine your data for ads

I like the widget except I wish there were better colour options. I'd definitely give a higher rating if that was fixed!
