An ear training app that identifies weaknesses through two-note comparison diagnosis and trains perfect pitch in a customized sequence
Hear-Hz is an ear training app designed for those who want to develop perfect pitch. When you first open the app, it diagnoses your current pitch perception level through 10 short questions where you listen to two notes and choose whether they are the same or different. Anyone can start immediately, even without prior knowledge of perfect pitch. Once the diagnosis is complete, it identifies which range—low, mid, or high—you are weak in and automatically sets the learning order to start with the weakest note. On the practice screen, you can listen to the note you are currently learning as much as you want or repeat playback, and you can skip directly to the test at any time without completing a set time or number of repetitions. The test consists of 10 questions, and you move on to the next note if you answer 90 percent or higher correctly. Even if you have passed a note once, if you continue to answer incorrectly on subsequent tests and your accuracy rate drops below 70 percent, the note will be returned to the practice area for review. The pitch cards on the practice screen display the actual cumulative accuracy rate for that note as a percentage, allowing you to immediately check how well you are doing. Diagnostic results and study scores can be converted into images and shared directly via KakaoTalk, other messengers, or social media. In the settings screen, you can freely switch between light and dark themes and between Korean and English, and you can retake the diagnosis at any time to reconstruct your study from scratch. Hear-Hz can be used immediately without logging in or signing up. All sounds are pure tones synthesized in real-time, and study progress is stored only on the user's device, not on a server.
