Common shows the fewest payments that settle everyone up, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. No account needed, and shared groups are end-to-end encrypted.

Common works out who owes whom. Add what people paid for. Common divides it — evenly, by shares, by percentage, by the number of nights somebody actually stayed — and tells you the fewest payments that settle everyone up. WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Open the app and start. There is no signup, no email address and no password, because there is nothing to sign up to. Groups live on your device and work offline, forever, for free. SPLIT IT HOWEVER IT HAPPENED Evenly. By shares, when a couple takes one room. By percentage. By exact amounts. Per day, when one person joined the trip late and left early. Any expense can involve any subset of the group, and one person can pay for something they were not part of. IN ANY CURRENCY Paid in francs, settled in euros. Enter the amount the receipt shows and Common converts it at the day's reference rate — or at the rate your bank actually charged. SETTLE UP IN THE FEWEST PAYMENTS Not a wall of who-owes-what. Common nets everybody out and shows the shortest set of transfers that gets the group to zero, and you tick them off as they happen. SHARE A GROUP WHEN YOU WANT TO Invite the others and everyone adds expenses from their own phone, offline and in sync. Group data is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves the device: the server stores what it cannot read. If you like, Common tells you when somebody adds an expense. PRIVATE BECAUSE OF HOW IT IS BUILT No tracking and no advertising ID. The free version shows ads from our own ad server, which never learns who you are or what you spend. PRO Pro removes the ads, backs up every group to the cloud automatically, lifts the limit on shared groups and keeps a photo of the receipt with each expense. Local groups are unlimited and free, always.
