Set the look that is easiest for you to read, then go one line at a time.
An app for reading text one line at a time, in the shape that is easiest for you to read. What is easy to read differs from person to person. Compare typeface, letter spacing, line spacing, background color and text size, save your choice as a "reading profile", and see pasted text in that shape. ■Compare The same sample text switches between typefaces (BIZ UDPGothic, serif, rounded), letter spacing (3 steps), line spacing (1.6, 2.0, 2.4), background color (white, cream, light gray, black) and text size (3 steps). Tap "Save this shape" to make it your reading profile. You can go back to the first shape (line spacing 2.0, cream background, BIZ UDPGothic) at any time. The serif and rounded typefaces use the fonts on your device, so they look different from device to device. ■Read Paste the text you want to read, and it is shown in your reading profile, one sentence at a time (line breaks also split it). Only the current line is bright; the others are dimmed. Move with "Previous" and "Next", or tap a line. The pasted text and where you stopped stay on your device, so you can continue after reopening the app. ■Read aloud The current line is read aloud with your device's text-to-speech, then it moves on to the next line. The voice language is chosen from the characters in the pasted text. You can also paste something you wrote and listen to check it. The voice depends on your device settings. ■Break reminder While you read, when the time you chose (none, 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes) has passed, a "Take a break" band appears at the top of the screen, with a sound and a vibration. Tap "Continue" to read on to the next interval. There is no hurry. ■Typeface BIZ UDPGothic (Copyright 2022 The BIZ UDGothic Project Authors, SIL Open Font License 1.1) is included in the app. ■Text size, colors and languages Choose the app's text size (3 steps), color theme (4) and display language (12). ■About this app One of the free welfare apps from SOYOGI, a care and support consultation service in Japan. Fully offline, anonymous, no ads, no sign-up. The text you paste, your reading profile and your settings are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere.
