Parental control for Android TV: daily screen time limit, bedtime lock and PIN.
Decide how long the TV stays on — and when it goes off — without having to be in the room.
TV Time Lock counts how long the TV has actually been used today, and locks the screen when the daily limit is reached or when quiet hours begin. Getting back in takes a parent PIN.
WHAT IT DOES
• Daily screen-time limit, from 30 minutes to 6 hours
• Quiet hours, including overnight windows like 21:00 to 07:00
• A one-off "15 more minutes" button for when you want to say yes
• Everything behind a 4-digit PIN, including the settings screen
• Keeps working after a restart
HOW THE COUNTING WORKS
Only time when an app is actually on screen counts. A TV sitting on the home screen or switched off is not counted against the limit.
FREE TO USE, ONE-TIME UNLOCK
Quiet hours are free and work on their own — set a window, the TV locks inside it. A single one-time purchase adds the daily screen-time limit and the "15 more minutes" button. No subscription, no ads, no account.
PRIVACY
No accounts, no reports uploaded anywhere, no tracking of what is being watched — the app only measures how long, never what. The network is used only for the Google Play purchase check.
PERMISSIONS
"Usage access" measures screen time. "Display over other apps" shows the lock screen. Both are granted by you in system settings and can be revoked any time; the app tells you clearly if either is missing.
HONEST NOTE
This is a household tool, not a security product. A determined teenager with access to system settings can disable any app of this kind — including this one. It is built to make the rule visible and consistent, not unbreakable.
