Simply scan your photos, and your past travels will light up on a world map. No GPS recording is required; it's completely offline. You can also import old photos stored on your digital camera or PC. Preserve the memories of your travels for the future.
Your photo folder already holds the records of your travels. Afterglow Trip is an app that automatically finds your past trips based on the date and location information of your photos, helping you cultivate a "world map of a lifetime." You don't need to continuously record GPS data during your travels. Just open the app when you return. ■ Discover your trips with a simple scan Scanning your photo library automatically detects periods away from home as "trips." The duration, number of days, distance traveled, and cities visited are compiled into albums. ■ A one-of-a-kind map grows Travel pins and years are imprinted on a world map of the night sky. Tapping a pin brings up a travel summary card, directly into your memory album. ■ Trace your travels You can draw lines connecting the cities you visited in order, using different colors for each trip. Prague → Vienna → Budapest—the path of that trip comes to life in a single line. You can also switch between yearly and trip-by-trip views. ■ Nurture your journey with three layers of notes A travel title, a one-line daily diary, and captions for each photo. Start roughly, fill in the parts you feel like, and finish it later. ■ Recover old photos Even photos without GPS, stored on your digital camera, PC, or cloud, can be imported as travel data. Simply select a city, and a pin will appear on the map, adding your past travels to the map. ■ Even if photos disappear, the records remain A dual structure saves small thumbnails for record-keeping. Even if you back up or delete the original photos to the cloud, the images remain in your travel records. ■ Completely offline. Photos never leave your device Scanning and maps are all processed within your device. Photos and location information are never transmitted externally. There are no ads or tracking. ■ Even if the app disappears, your memories remain All records are in an open format (JSON + JPEG) that anyone can read. With a single backup ZIP file, you can carry your travel assets with you even when changing devices or migrating from iPhone to Android.
