14 national rule sets vs the computer: Russian, Italian, Turkish, Lasca.

Most draughts apps ship one rule set. This one ships fourteen — the real national games, each with its own board, its own kings and its own capture law. Every one of them plays offline against the built-in AI. No connection, no account, no sign-up.
FOURTEEN VARIANTS, ONE ENGINE
• American — 8x8, single-step kings, you pick which jump to take
• International — 10x10, flying kings, capture the most pieces
• Brazilian — international rules on the 8x8 board
• Canadian — the same on 12x12
• Russian — capture backward, crowned mid-jump and it keeps flying
• Italian, Spanish, Czech — each with its own capture priority
• Turkish and Armenian — played on all 64 squares, moving along ranks and files, never diagonally
• Thai — kings land exactly one square past the piece they take
• Frisian, Lasca and giveaway
Capturing is compulsory in all fourteen. Boards run from 7x7 up to 12x12.
RULES THAT GENUINELY DIFFER
Giveaway inverts the goal: lose every piece and you win. In Lasca a captured piece is not removed at all — it is trapped underneath its captor as a tower, and freeing it can turn the game. Every variant has its own rules page and an illustrated walkthrough, so you can learn one you have never played.
THREE OPPONENTS, NOT ONE SLIDER
Easy plays a random legal move. Normal looks a few moves ahead on material. Hard searches deeply and knows the endgame. Pick the variant, the difficulty and your colour — White moves first everywhere.
TOURNAMENTS
Enter a 64-player Regular tournament — eight groups of eight, seven matchdays, top four qualify — or a 32-player Short straight into the bracket. Then five knockout rounds to the final, with ties played as single-win, first-to-2 or first-to-3. The field is 66 named characters from the variants' home countries, each rated per variant, so the seeding changes with the game you choose. Browse the group tables, fixtures, results and bracket. Leave mid-run and come back — your tournament is saved.
A DAILY CHALLENGE
One puzzle a day, the same for every player, with its own variant, difficulty and colour. Track the month on a calendar, earn a trophy for completing every day of it, and look back on a year of cups. Missed a day? You can still play it.
