Keep the parish books on your phone and send the diocesan return on time.
Parish Accounts keeps a Catholic parish's books on the priest's phone, the parish secretary's phone or the office computer, and turns them into the monthly return the diocese expects. RECORD MONEY AS IT HAPPENS • Money in, money out: say how much and what it was for. The double entry is done for you. • The Sunday collection, counted Mass by Mass and outstation by outstation, with the names of the Finance Committee members who counted it and the person it was handed on to. • Diocesan and pontifical collections, kept apart from the parish's own money. • Harvest Thanksgiving pledges, and who has not yet paid. • Photograph the receipt or record a short spoken note with any entry. WORKS WITHOUT SIGNAL Entries made with no network are kept safely on the phone and sent when there is a connection. Sending one twice can never record it twice. The books you last opened can still be read on the road. HEADINGS AND SUBHEADINGS Use the diocesan headings, add the parish's own, and name what each sum was for: the deanery week, a project, a particular church. See at a glance what came in for a cause, what went out, and what is over or short. Projects Income and Projects Expenditure are kept outside the ordinary accounts, as they should be. REPORTS THE DIOCESE EXPECTS • The monthly return in one document, ready by the 5th • Cash book, income and expenditure, balance sheet, trial balance and budget • The 15% and 5% assessment to the Bishop's House, worked out correctly • Download as PDF or spreadsheet, print, share or email CHECKS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE The app warns you before cash on hand goes below zero, when a usual monthly payment is missing, and when an entry needs a subheading, so the books are right when the Finance Office opens them. IN ENGLISH AND FRENCH Every screen is in both languages. SAFE Each person signs in with their own account and sees what their role allows. Every change is recorded against the person who made it, and a mistake is corrected by a reversal, never erased. The app can be locked with the phone's fingerprint or face unlock. Parish Accounts is used by parishes of the Diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon. An account is given by your parish.
