Learn the interpretation of the Holy Quran through audio lessons, questions, and a certificate, free of charge from Al-Burhan Association.
“And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?” [Al-Qamar: 17] The Mudakkir Program is a free educational initiative from Al-Burhan Association, helping you understand the Book of Allah and reflect upon its verses through accessible Qur’anic courses. In each course, you study the verses and their interpretation from the book “Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir al-Qur’an al-Karim” (The Concise Interpretation of the Noble Qur’an). You listen to the lesson, test your understanding, and receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course. The first course: “Adab wa Akhlaq” (Etiquette and Morals) In this course, you learn Islamic etiquette and morals from the verses of the Noble Qur’an and their interpretation, beginning with Surah Al-Fatihah. New courses will be added successively, God willing. Lessons based on Al-Mukhtasar fi Tafsir: • Verses in the Uthmani script followed by their interpretation. At the beginning of each surah, there is an introduction to it: its name, its type (Meccan or Medinan), and its objectives. • The lessons progress sequentially, with each lesson beginning after the completion of the previous one. • Additional materials for lessons and the course, when available: audio and video clips, links, and files. Audio-Text Synchronized • Listen to the audio of the lesson and follow along with the highlighted sentence in the text. • Tap any sentence to start listening. • The page and text scroll automatically with the audio, but you can disable this in the settings. • Choose your preferred playback speed from 0.75 to 2. Test Your Understanding • Comprehension questions after each lesson with unlimited attempts. Answering all questions correctly unlocks the next lesson. • Final exam for the course. You will be informed of the exam requirements before starting: number of questions, duration, and passing grade. • Your results will be displayed immediately upon submission. You can retake the exam if you do not pass. Certificate of Completion • After completing all course lessons and passing the final exam, your certificate will be automatically generated with the name you enter in your personal information. • Preview it in the app, download it as a PDF to your device, or share it directly. • Find all your certificates in the "Certificates" section. Interactivity and Communication • A course chat group where you can communicate with other participants. • Send text messages, photos from your camera or gallery, short videos, and voice messages, and reply to specific messages. • Report any abusive messages for review by the program administration, and block any student whose messages you don't want to see. • Live chat with the technical support team and a frequently asked questions (FAQ) page. Tracking and Reminders • The "My Courses" page compiles your ongoing and completed courses and displays your progress percentage for each course. • Daily study reminders at your chosen time. • Alerts if you leave a lesson before finishing it. • Notifications for technical support responses, interactive messages, and program administration alerts, which can be disabled in the settings. Comfortable Reading • Light or dark theme, or "Auto" which adapts to your device's appearance. • Choose the font size for interpretations and verses from four sizes, with instant previews in the settings. • The app saves the text and audio of the lessons you've opened on your device for faster access later. You can delete them from the settings without affecting your progress or certificates. Account • Browse and search available courses without registering. • Create your account using your email address, password, and a verification code sent to it, or log in with your Google account. • An account is required to join courses, track your progress, participate in interactive activities, and receive certificates. • You can delete your account and its data from within the app at any time: “More” then “Account Data.” The Mudakkir app is completely free, with no ads or subscriptions. It requires an internet connection to view courses, lessons, and quizzes. The Mudakkir app is an initiative of the Al-Burhan Association.
