Twelve handcrafted timeline mysteries on 3x3 and 4x4 boards. Place suspects, watch the evidence turn to MATCH, and pick the one alibi the board cannot hold. Progress saves as you play, with Undo, two hints per attempt, and a par time for three stars.
Place suspects on a timeline, match every clue, and find the one false alibi
A master key goes missing at 8:10. Three people walked the same three rooms, and one of them describes a place they could not have been. Alibi Shift is a logic mystery played on a time-by-location board. Each case gives you a few suspects, a handful of evidence cards, and one rule: everyone visits every location exactly once. Place each person, watch the clue cards change from PENDING to MATCH, and when the board holds, pick the statement that breaks it. TWELVE CASES, WRITTEN BY HAND A hotel front desk, a café before opening, a night train platform, an estate greenhouse, a TV studio, a museum after hours, a lighthouse at dawn, a public library, a morning ferry, a mountain observatory, a theater before curtain, and a hut in a coming storm. Boards are 3x3 with three suspects or 4x4 with four, and most of the later cases use the larger board. Each case has exactly one timeline that fits the evidence and exactly one false alibi. CLUES THAT ADD UP Camera sightings pin a person to a room. Door logs rule rooms out. Route clues tell you who went somewhere first, or straight from one room to the next, so every placement can be worked out from the cards. STOP AND PICK IT UP LATER Your board, timer, and hints are saved as you play, so a half-solved case waits for you. Each attempt at a case gets two hints that each confirm one placement, and stars reward a fast, clean solve. SETTINGS FOR HOW YOU PLAY Larger text, high contrast, reduced motion, and haptics each have their own switch. Every suspect is marked with initials as well as a color. Alibi Shift is free. Case progress is kept in the app's storage on your phone and is never sent to a server.
