Play local MIDI and very large Black MIDI with a live note waterfall.
Cascade MIDI Player is a local player built for MIDI files, from everyday piano pieces to very large Black MIDI. Listen with your favorite sound and watch dense passages become a waterfall of notes. VERY LARGE BLACK MIDI Play very large Black MIDI alongside the rest of your collection. Follow dense note patterns in the waterfall, slow a passage down or pause to explore it. Preparation time and playback depend on the file and your device. YOUR LOCAL MIDI LIBRARY Import .mid, .midi and .kar files. Find music with search and sorting, browse folders, and create playlists with your own track order. PLAY AT YOUR PACE Play, pause, seek, change playback speed and choose repeat or shuffle. Keep listening in the background and use the system media controls. SEE THE MUSIC Follow a downward note waterfall across all 128 MIDI pitches. Pause to keep the picture, then continue from the same moment. Switch to full screen, the record-style player or lyrics embedded in compatible MIDI files. CHOOSE YOUR SOUND Start listening with the included SoundFont or import your own SF2/SF3 files. Hear familiar MIDI pieces with a different sound. MAKE IT YOURS A guided first launch helps you choose a theme and add music. Use light, dark or system appearance, optional frosted overlays, and layouts adapted to phones, landscape and tablets. Choose files or folders with the system picker, or scan MIDI files indexed in the device audio library with your filters. Android keeps references to accessible originals where supported, avoiding a full copy; providers that cannot be read directly may need a local copy. Core playback works offline. No account is required. Listen to the included original Morning Cascade study or add your own MIDI files.
