- Added support for the "sign in with a passkey on your phone" QR code shown by browsers on a computer. Scan it and tap "Sign in with a passkey" to continue signing in. - These codes expire within minutes, so they are not saved to history or copied automatically.
No ads, fully offline QR & barcode scanner and generator with Mushroom support.
QR Max is an ad-free QR code and barcode scanner and generator that works entirely offline. It packs everything you expect from a paid scanner into one app, and deliberately does nothing else. ■ What this app does NOT do - It never connects to the internet. It does not even request the network permission. - No ads, no in-app purchases. - No product lookup: scanning a retail barcode will not search shopping sites (there is no network access). - Nothing you scan leaves your device. ■ Mushroom support (the headline feature) Launch QR Max from a Mushroom-compatible Japanese keyboard (Simeji, ATOK, iWnn, flick, ...) and the scanned text is inserted straight into the text field you were typing in. No more scan → copy → switch back → paste for Wi-Fi passwords, member IDs or URLs. ■ Scanning - The detected code is outlined in red on the camera preview so you always know what was read. - Choose which code types to scan. The default is QR only, which is faster and more accurate. EAN-13 / JAN, EAN-8, UPC, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, ITF, Data Matrix, Aztec and PDF417 can be enabled individually. - The full URL is shown before anything opens. Auto-open and auto-copy to clipboard are optional settings. - Non-web links (LINE, Play Store, ...) can be opened in their app. - Tap to focus, pinch to zoom, flashlight, front camera. - On devices whose autofocus never settles, the app falls back to single-shot AF or a manual focus sweep automatically. - Vibration and beep can be switched on and off separately. - Scan from a picture in your gallery, or from an image shared by another app. - Two decoders (ML Kit and ZXing-C++) are combined for tilted or small codes. ■ docomo legacy formats QR codes made for Japanese feature phones (MEBKM bookmarks, MATMSG mail, MECARD contacts) are converted into a URL, an email or a contact, so old posters and catalogs still work. ■ Create - QR codes for text, URL, Wi-Fi, contact (vCard / MECARD), email, SMS, phone number, location and calendar events. - 1D barcodes: EAN-13 / EAN-8 / UPC / Code 128 / Code 39 / Code 93 / Codabar / ITF, plus Data Matrix, Aztec and PDF417. - Custom colors, error correction level and a center logo. - Saving to the gallery happens only when you tap the button, never automatically. - Share the generated code as an image. ■ History - Scans are stored with date and type. Pin items, delete several at once. - History can be turned off, and scans made from the keyboard (Mushroom) can be excluded. ■ Supported formats QR Code, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417, EAN-13 / JAN, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, Code 93, Codabar, ITF ■ Permissions - Camera: to scan codes. - Vibrate: feedback when a code is read. - Write external storage (Android 9 and below only): to save generated codes to the gallery. The app does not request the Internet permission. ■ Requirements Android 7.0 or later. On devices without autofocus or with a front camera only, scanning from images and code creation still work.
