CompareOpen in Google PlayJust a waste of money and time. I have spent hours trying to get this to work. Bought a Wifi 6 router all just to have lag. Then try to physically tether my headset and this app won't recognize it. This app combined with the Samsung galaxy xr is a no go.

the best app on this device that I've ever used it works flawlessly to play in pcvr and works for both the Oculus and steam VR PC apps, and the wireless streaming is awesome! this is now become the main VR headset that I use to play PC VR games thanks to this app!
Best experience I've found working on my PC, but it seems to be incompatible with other local apps. For example I can't join a zoom call through my XR and use my avatar while working on my desktop. It's zoom + low res Google remote desktop or Virtual Desktop and no video (discouraged where I work). May even be impossible on android but a huge tradeoff that I need desktop power and bandwidth (and no avatar) instead of taking advantage of local processing for local apps.
Thanks for giving us the PCVR support Google and Samsung haven't bothered with.

Used to be great, now I can't get though 10 minutes of play time with the galaxy XR without virtual desktop crashing. It has been this way for a couple months now.

This isn't normal. Make sure your network meets the minimum requirements: computer wired to a 5ghz or 6ghz router with an Ethernet cable. Reach out on Discord if you need more help: http://discord.vrdesktop.net
Works with Caveats. Visuals are clearer than the included game link. The left eye will freeze forcing a restart of Virtual Desktop. Otherwise it's the Virtual Desktop you know and love from the Quest 3.

Eye freezing is usually a GPU driver problem, here are our recommended drivers (see our Discord for download links): NVIDIA RTX 30/40 Series: 581.94 All Other NVIDIA GPUs: Latest AMD RX 400/500/VEGA series: 20.10.1 AMD 5000/6000 series: 25.3.1 AMD 7000/9000 series: 26.3.1
Better than the built in options
This is a *MUST HAVE* app on any future Android XR device, especially the Galaxy XR. This app provides the easy way to connect to your PC. The customizable settings ensure that even a potato can still attempt to run VR games. Productivity in Virtual Desktop is a game changer. I highly recommend this app to EVERYONE. This isn't even an ad for the app, I just love the app. I've used it on Quest Pro, and now Galaxy XR.
