• Safer first contact: in Korea, a one-time phone check before you message someone you do not know (place rooms, people nearby). Sign-up still needs no phone number. • Phone verification status in Settings. • Stability fixes.
Share a link, not your number. They chat in the browser, no install needed.
Share a link instead of your phone number. Share a link for listings, lessons, rentals or bookings. Visitors chat in their browser, no install or sign-up. LINKS • Single-use links expire after 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. By default each locks when someone joins and opens again if a browser guest leaves or you decline or block them. Burning one ends its guests' chats and retires its address. • A personal link for your profile or bio. Anyone not connected to you who opens it or enters your ID sends a request; the chat opens when you accept. Pausing it stops new chat requests. • Guests join in the browser with a display name, can report or leave any time and are labeled as guests. • Someone signed in who opens a single-use link joins with their account. Unless you two are connected, that chat ends when the link expires or is burned. PLACE ROOMS Hosted group rooms for events, campuses and pop-up stores. • Entry by a six-digit or QR code that changes every 30 seconds and after each join. • Host tools: join approval, announcements only, slow mode, link blocking, pinned messages, co-hosts and member removal. • A report queue for the host. Optional AI flags mark messages and never delete them. • Rooms are never listed or searchable and close when time is up. DISAPPEARING CHATS ON YOUR TIMER • Set each chat to 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or a custom time, or keep it with no timer. The time left is always visible. AI REPLY DRAFTS • Reply suggestions in your own tone. You edit and send them; nothing is sent automatically. • Drafts and translation use AI only when both of you turn AI on; otherwise you get built-in suggestions and no translation. TRUST AND CONTROL • Recall a message for both sides. • View-once messages leave both screens 5, 10 or 30 seconds after opening, and you see when they are opened. • Screenshot alerts in one-to-one app-to-app chats on Android 14 or later. Detection is not guaranteed and does not work on the web. • App lock with your fingerprint, face or screen lock. • Notifications show neither the sender nor the message. • Reset your ID to retire it and its personal link. A reset burns every link, removes every connection and is allowed once every 30 days. AN ID, NOT A PHONE NUMBER Sign up with email or Google. Sign up without a phone number. In Korea, features that connect you with people you don’t know ask for a one-time phone check. No contact upload; your email and phone number are never shown. Accounts you chat or connect with see your 5-character ID, plus your nickname and profile photo if set. Anyone with your ID, which your personal link contains, can view that photo. Guests, and accounts that join by your single-use link, see your nickname and a generated avatar. Place room members see your nickname or room alias and a generated avatar; your ID only if you host, or use no alias in a room whose private chats are open. A private chat started there keeps that name and shows your ID and photo only if the room showed your ID or the other person has it. Anyone signed in with a room's link sees its host's ID, nickname and photo. Connections stay in your list after a chat ends. SAFETY Report and block in one-to-one chats, link guests included, decline and block a request, and report from your blocked list. In place rooms, members report messages and people and block one another; hosts remove members and delete reported messages. Reported content is kept for safety review after a chat ends. For ages 14 and over. WHAT "SCHEDULED TO DISAPPEAR" MEANS At the end time, a chat leaves both lists and its messages are deleted on schedule. A recalled message, or a view-once message whose time is up, leaves both screens and is erased from our servers with the chat. Reported content, backups and legal holds are exceptions, and what the other person has seen, saved or captured cannot be taken back.
