MADE FOR IPHONE DUO: Unfolded, the chord timeline spans the whole screen with a larger current chord. HALF-OPEN PRACTICE: Stand iPhone Duo half-open on a table and the screen splits at the fold. The raised half shows the chord you're playing in large type, plus the next chord and when it arrives. The flat half keeps capo, transpose, the timeline and playback within reach.
Find the chords in a song and follow them while you play. Chord Finder analyzes audio entirely on your iPhone or iPad. IMPORT OR RECORD Open an audio file from Files, or record music with the microphone. Common formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, and AIFF. Microphone access is optional for file import. FOLLOW THE SONG See the current chord, chord tones, estimated key, and tempo. A moving playhead follows the chord timeline. Tap a chord or move the playback slider to practice a section again. Use Follow to keep the playing row in view, and pinch the timeline to zoom. PLAY IT ON GUITAR Pause and press and hold a chord to see guitar shapes, from open chords to movable grips up the neck. Variations suggests sus, added-tone and seventh chords to try instead. Each chord shows its role in the key (I, IV, vi). CAPO AND TRANSPOSE Set a capo or transpose the song on the main screen, even while it plays. Chord names, shapes and the key follow along, and the recording itself is never changed. When a song is full of barre chords, Chord Finder suggests the capo that turns them into open shapes you already know. SAVE YOUR PRACTICE Save projects with their audio and chord analysis. Search by name and reopen a song without analyzing it again. Swipe to delete a saved project. MADE FOR IPHONE, IPHONE DUO AND IPAD Practice in portrait or landscape. On iPhone Duo, stand it half-open and the chord you're playing sits on the raised half while the controls stay on the flat half. The screen stays awake while audio plays with the app visible. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Audio analysis runs on your device with a bundled model. No account, ads, tracking, subscription, or audio upload. Your saved projects stay in app storage and may be included in device backups according to your Apple settings. Chord, key, and tempo results are estimates. Clear accompaniment gives better results; complex mixes can be harder to identify. Chord Finder analyzes chords, not vocal or lead melodies. Supports mono/stereo recordings up to two hours. Requires iOS/iPadOS 17 or later.
