EQUAL EARTH: Maps & Satellite

Explore our planet with EQUAL EARTH, a mobile mapping, geography, and satellite imagery app built around the Equal Earth map projection. Unlike familiar world maps that greatly enlarge areas near the poles, the Equal Earth projection preserves the relative size of continents and countries while keeping the world recognizable. CREATE THEMATIC MAPS Turn geographic datasets into shareable thematic maps using professionally designed colors, legends, labels, scale bars, and data-source credits. EXPLORE SATELLITE IMAGERY Discover and visualize Esri and Sentinel-2 satellite scenes for a selected location and date range. Explore natural color, vegetation, water, and other educational Earth-observation views. COMPARE MAP PROJECTIONS See how Equal Earth and Mercator represent the world differently. Explore countries, continents, boundaries, and geographic relationships through interactive maps. USE PRACTICAL GIS AND GPS TOOLS • View coordinates and your current position • Search for places and nearby features • Create routes and measure distance or area • Check speed, altitude, and direction • Explore street, satellite, and terrain maps • Save field-validation projects and observations locally • Export maps and selected results LEARN GEOGRAPHY THROUGH GAMES Play interactive geography games, test your knowledge of countries and places, and learn how map projections influence the way we see the size, shape, and location of the world. BUILT FOR EXPLORATION EQUAL EARTH combines cartography, GIS tools, satellite imagery, and geography learning in one mobile experience. Maps, boundaries, routes, imagery, and GPS readings may be incomplete, generalized, delayed, or inaccurate. EQUAL EARTH is not an emergency service, certified navigation system, cadastral survey tool, or substitute for professional geographic or scientific analysis.
