Record performances, reflect on each take, and follow your musical progress
Make a record of your music practice and return to it with fresh ears. Performance Video Diary brings your performance videos, self-assessments, notes, and practice goals together on your Android device. RECORD AND REFLECT Record a performance with video and sound. Watch it back, rate the aspects that matter to you, and add your own notes. Ratings are your self-assessment, not an automated score. Leave a category unrated or choose N/A when it does not apply. FIND THE TAKES THAT MATTER Use the calendar to revisit a day's performances. Link a video to one or more goals, pieces, or exercises, then open an item to review all its related videos. Create pieces and exercises without needing a deadline, or set a target date for a goal. MAKE YOUR REVIEW YOUR OWN Customize assessment categories for future recordings. Earlier assessments keep their original category labels. Mark goals complete and return to them when you need another pass. KEEP RECORDINGS ON YOUR DEVICE Completed videos are saved in your device's Gallery under Movies/Performance Video Diary. The app does not upload your recordings, notes, ratings, goals, or video links. Recording and diary review work offline, and no account is required. Gallery videos remain if you uninstall the app. Your private diary, notes, ratings, goals, and links are removed if you uninstall or clear app data. Reinstalling does not automatically restore the diary from Gallery videos. Other Gallery or backup apps may handle those videos according to your device settings. CONCERT NOTICES The app includes dismissible promotions for Aaron Walker's concerts. Concert information requires an internet connection. An optional US ZIP filter works on your device and is not sent with concert requests. The ZIP filter covers supported US areas; the diary can be used elsewhere. Camera and microphone permissions are used when you choose to record. On older supported Android versions, storage access is used to save videos to Gallery. Android 8.0 or later is required.
