Practice a steady pulse by tapping or clapping and explore tempo in music
Tempo Stability Grader helps musicians practice a steady pulse and explore the tempo of a performance. In Tap or Clap mode, listen to reference clicks and then perform without the clicks. The app reports your overall tempo, how it compares with the target, how steady your pace was, and whether you gradually sped up or slowed down. When the reference timing can be aligned reliably, you can open and zoom the timing graphic to compare your attacks with the beat lines. Music mode makes a best-effort estimate of the pulse in live sound or an audio file you select. You can enter an intended BPM to help the app choose among plausible half-time, double-time, or related pulses. A tempo-over-time graph shows how the estimated pulse changes through the passage. Music with sparse attacks, syncopation, improvisation, or rubato can be ambiguous; the app may label an estimate tentative or decline to grade it. Audio is analyzed on your device. The app does not require an account or upload your audio, selected files, or timing results. Temporary audio is cleared after analysis or cancellation. A scrollable concert-notice frame promotes Aaron Walker concerts. Dismiss individual notices with X. An optional on-device ZIP filter limits notices to concerts within 100 miles; without a ZIP, all eligible concerts may appear. The app requests the public concert schedule over HTTPS. Your ZIP stays on your device. The website host receives IP and request information and uses access logs and traffic statistics, including approximate country derived from IP.
