Document noise-survey locations, equipment, calibrations, photos, GPS, and notes
Environmental Noise Logger helps acousticians and environmental-noise professionals keep field documentation organized on an Android phone. Create projects and field sessions, assign one sound level meter to each location, record time-stamped PRE, CHECK, and POST calibration readings, capture GPS coordinates and reported accuracy, add field notes, and take captioned photographs. When the survey is complete, export a project package containing a readable spreadsheet, photographs, an integrity manifest, and a KMZ map for compatible Google Earth viewers. Create local backups for later restoration when needed. Designed for professional field documentation: • Reuse a sound level meter across multiple locations • Keep each location tied to its assigned meter and calibration history • Preserve readable photo names, captions, timestamps, and integrity hashes • Keep core field documentation available offline without an account The app also displays Aaron Walker's concert notices in a chronological frame at the bottom of the idle Home screen. View all eligible events, optionally filter within approximately 100 miles using a locally stored supported US ZIP, or dismiss individual notices. ZIP and field records are not sent with schedule requests. Concert schedules are retrieved over HTTPS. The schedule host retains ordinary IP/request logs and uses server-side traffic statistics, including approximate country inference. See the privacy policy for details. Environmental Noise Logger accompanies a professional sound level meter. It does not measure sound levels, certify compliance, replace instrument software, or guarantee the legal sufficiency of a field record.
