GPS map & timestamp camera: address, coordinates & notes on photos. PDF reports.
Marcato is a GPS map camera and timestamp camera for photos that show where and when. Every photo is stamped with a small street map, the address, the GPS coordinates, the date and time and your notes, right as you take it, and saved to your gallery. Made for proof of work: site visits, deliveries, inspections, surveys and field reports. HONEST LOCATION • The accuracy is always shown on the camera (±6 m, Low Accuracy), and on the stamp unless a template leaves it out (Travel does) • Your location is never faked or edited, and there is no manual location • A position from a mock-location app, an old position, or "approximate only" is labelled on the photo • Location is used only while the camera is open, never in the background THE STAMP • Map, address, latitude and longitude, date and time with the UTC offset • Coordinates in decimal degrees, DMS, degrees and decimal minutes, UTM or Plus Code • Altitude (Survey and Travel templates) and the compass direction the camera faced (Survey and Inspection templates), or either in your own templates • Small, medium or large; top or bottom; it turns with the phone for landscape photos • Light or dark map, metres or feet, 12 or 24 hour time, your company name • Pick the right address from nearby results when the nearest one isn't yours TEMPLATES FOR THE JOB • Classic, Site Visit and Minimal (free) • Delivery (status, order number, recipient), Inspection (asset, pass or fail, inspector), Survey and Travel (Pro) • Make your own (Pro): choose the shape and colour, what the stamp shows, and add up to 6 lines, typed or picked from a list • What you type stays until you change it, so a job's details are entered once JOBS AND REPORTS • Start a job for a site, a route or a project: its photos are kept together and numbered #1, #2, #3… • An album for each job in your gallery, if you like • PDF report (Pro): every photo with its time, address, position, accuracy and notes, plus a map of where they were taken • Spreadsheet (CSV), KML for map apps and GPX waypoints (Pro) • Share the stamped photos themselves to any app (free) A FAST, CLEAN CAMERA • Opens straight into the camera; the shutter is ready again at once while photos save in the background • Flash, tap to focus, pinch to zoom, grid, front camera • 4:3, 16:9 or square; full size, 8 MP, 3 MP or 1 MP for quick sending • Optionally keep a copy without the stamp too • A calm design, in light and dark mode YOUR PHOTOS, YOUR PRIVACY • Photos are saved in your gallery (Pictures/Marcato) and stay there if you remove the app • Choose whether the GPS position is also written into the photo file, and leave it out of shared copies with one switch • No account and no server of ours: photo records stay on your phone • Turn off both address lookup and map downloads and Marcato never sends your position anywhere (the free version's ads still use the internet) • No ads on the camera, ever, and no pop-up ads after a photo MARCATO PRO No ads, no Marcato mark on stamps, every template, your own templates, and PDF, CSV, KML and GPX exports. Yearly or monthly (renews until you cancel in Google Play), or lifetime: pay once, no subscription. Prices are shown in the app. Or watch a short ad for a 2-hour Pro Pass: every template, reports and exports, and no Marcato mark (ads still show). A stamp records what your phone reported: its location services, its address lookup and its clock. It is a record you make, not a certified one.
