Pylo: SSH & SFTP Client

Pylo is a clean, modern SSH client and SFTP file browser for the servers you look after: a home server, a VPS, a NAS or the machines at work. Save your hosts, sign in with a password or an SSH key, and get a real terminal with the keys a phone keyboard leaves out. No account, no sign-up and no cloud. Your hosts, keys and passwords stay on your phone. TERMINAL • A full terminal (xterm-256color) with scrollback, text selection and copy, and pinch to resize the text • A key bar with Esc, Tab, sticky Ctrl and Alt, arrows, Home/End, Page Up/Down, Del, F1–F12 and the symbols you type most • Snippets: save the commands you use and run them from the key bar • Run a command when you connect, keep-alive for flaky networks, and an option to keep the screen on • Sessions stay connected while you switch apps, with a notification you can disconnect from SFTP FILE BROWSER • Browse a server's folders, preview text files, save files to Downloads or share them • Upload from your phone with Android's file picker • Pro: rename, delete, new folders and permissions SSH KEYS • Make Ed25519 or RSA keys on the phone, or import OpenSSH and PEM private keys (passphrase-protected ones too) • Copy a public key in one tap to add it to a server's authorized_keys • Choose a key per host SECURITY YOU CAN CHECK • Passwords and private keys are encrypted by the Android Keystore; they are never put in Android's backup • The first time you connect, Pylo shows the server's key fingerprint and asks before trusting it • If a known server's key changes, Pylo stops and tells you, with both fingerprints. It never accepts a new key quietly • Modern encryption by default, with older algorithms only if you turn them on for one host • App Lock with your fingerprint, face or phone PIN, and no screenshots while a secret is on screen • No analytics or tracking of our own. Pylo only talks to the servers you add, Google Play and, in the free version, Google's ads TRY IT WITHOUT A SERVER A clearly labelled offline demo server runs inside the app (“Demo (Offline)” on the Hosts tab), so you can try the terminal and the file browser before you add your own. Subscriptions renew until you cancel in Google Play. The free version shows one small ad at the end of the host list and, now and then, an ad when you come back to the app. Never during a terminal or file session. GOOD TO KNOW Pylo 1.0 does not do Mosh, jump hosts, agent forwarding, X11 or remote (-R) port forwarding, and it does not sync between devices.
