Organize fabric, sewing patterns and projects. Track costs and sketch ideas.
Open your fabric drawer, pick a sewing pattern you love, and see which fabrics in your stash will work. Sewdle checks each length and width against the pattern and size, and when a fabric is narrower than the envelope assumes, it works out the extra length you would need. That is the stash match, and it is the reason Sewdle exists. Whatever you are short of goes onto a shopping list for your next trip to the fabric shop.
YOUR FABRIC STASH
Photograph each fabric and note its fiber, color, width, price and where you keep it. As you cut lengths for projects, Sewdle works out what is left, so you can see how much remains. Export it to a spreadsheet when you want a list for a destash.
PATTERNS
Keep a photo of every pattern envelope and the fabric each size needs. Choose a size and start a project from your pattern, and see how many times you have made it.
PROJECTS FROM PLAN TO FINISHED
Each make has its status, the pattern and size, who it is for, the fabric cut from your stash, a step checklist you can reorder, progress photos and notes. Mark it finished and share a square card with your before and after photos, the hours it took and the fabrics you used.
TIME AND COST
Start a timer when you sit down at the machine. Sewdle adds up every session and helps you work out what a make costs: fabric by the length you cut, notions, extras and, if you sell your work, your time at your own hourly rate, with the profit or loss against your selling price.
THE NEEDLE IN YOUR MACHINE
Sewdle counts the hours you have sewn since you last changed the needle and reminds you to check your needle after eight hours of recorded sewing. A needle guide matches fabric to needle type and size, and a project suggests a needle from the fabric it uses. Note when you last oiled, cleaned and serviced the machine.
A SKETCHBOOK
Draw your next idea over a fashion figure or a dress form, with a stylus or your finger. With a pressure-sensitive pen, your lines follow how hard you press, and you can rest your palm on the screen while you draw. Pin fabric swatches from your stash beside the drawing, link it to a project, and share it as an image.
MEASUREMENTS AND NOTIONS
Keep measurements for yourself and everyone you sew for, with the date you took them. Count zippers, buttons, thread, elastic and interfacing so you know what is in the tin before you buy more.
Meters and centimeters or yards and inches, 30 currencies, and ten languages. Phones and tablets.
STANDARD AND PRO
The standard tier holds three projects on the go, fifteen fabrics, eight patterns and three sketches, with a small banner ad. Sewdle Pro removes the limits and the ads and adds the make record PDF (photos, costs, steps and sketches on paper) and the stash export. Your existing records stay open and editable if you reach a standard-tier limit, and backup is always included.
Your records stay on your phone. There is no account. A backup file, photos included, restores on another phone.
