Both phones only need to be on the same WiFi network, which your router provides even when the internet is down. Do I need two phones? Yes. One phone is the camera in the nursery and the other is the parent unit. Many parents use an old phone they no longer carry as the camera. Can I watch from outside the house? No. Baby Cam is a local baby monitor. Both phones must be on the same WiFi, which is exactly why your video never leaves your home. Is my baby's video recorded or uploaded? Never uploaded. With Pro you can save photos and clips, and they stay only on your own device. Does it drain the battery? Live video uses power, so keep the camera phone charging overnight.
