Home Pet Monitor turns two phones into a pet camera you can check from anywhere. Leave one phone at home watching your cat or dog, keep the other one with you, and look in whenever you want. There is no camera to buy and nothing to wire up. HOW IT WORKS 1. Place one Android phone or tablet at home as the Camera, pointed where your pet likes to be. 2. Open the app on your own phone as the Viewer. 3. Pair them by scanning a QR code or typing a 6 character code. That is it. You can sign in with Google to keep a "My cameras" list so your devices reconnect in one tap, but an account is completely optional. Without one, the QR code and the 6 character code are all you need. WATCH FROM ANYWHERE On the same WiFi, the two phones connect straight to each other. When you are out of the house, they find each other through our signaling server and, when your network needs it, the video travels over an encrypted relay. The stream is encrypted end to end with DTLS and SRTP, and it is never recorded on our servers. TALK TO YOUR PET Hold the talk button on the viewer and your voice comes out of the phone at home. One word from you is often all it takes to settle a dog that has started pacing, or to call a cat back into the room. ALERTS THAT MATTER The app listens for barking and meowing and sends an alert the moment it hears something. With Pro you also get motion alerts, so you know when your pet jumps on the counter or wanders somewhere it should not be. SET UP FOR YOUR ANIMAL Tell the app whether you have a cat, a dog, a bird, a rabbit or something else, and the setup and alerts are tuned to match.
