First release. A guided movement and dance practice with original percussion, from grounding to stillness. Standing or seated options, 1–60 minute sessions with stage countdowns, moment markers, notes on music, dance and Dionysian imagery, and a private on-device journal with JSON export.
Ecstatic dance practice: original percussion, free movement, then stillness.
Ekstasis is a movement and dance practice set to original percussion. It moves through grounding, gathering rhythm and personal expression, then settles into stillness. Stand or stay seated, set the sound to suit you, and move only within your own comfort. WHERE IT COMES FROM The app includes historical context on music, dance and Dionysian imagery. The music and movement prompts are modern work, not a reconstruction of ancient choreography, and the source notes mark clearly where evidence ends and adaptation begins. MOVE YOUR WAY • Sessions from 1 to 60 minutes, with a countdown for every stage • A standing or a seated practice • A practice screen with its own visual design • Four-stage percussion with volume control and mute • Pause, resume or end mid-movement, and mark a moment when something stands out STILLNESS, THEN REFLECTION Each session is saved automatically. Add and edit your reflections in a private journal that stays on your device, and export it as JSON when you want a copy. Sound stops when you leave the practice screen or the app. The timer continues during ordinary background use, and after an interruption the latest checkpoint is restored, paused. CALM, PRIVATE, OFFLINE No flashing effects, and text that follows your Android size settings. Works offline, with no account, advertising, analytics, microphone access or internet permission. Source links open in your browser only if you select them. Ekstasis supports personal expression, historical study and contemplation. It does not promise initiation, healing or any other guaranteed outcome. From Discovery Science, Inc.
