Record both cameras at the same time. DualCam Recorder films your front and back cameras
together and saves each one as its own video, so you capture the moment and your reaction
in a single take — no editing, no second phone.
There is no preview taking over your screen: recording runs quietly in the background, so
your phone stays completely usable while it films.
RECORD BOTH CAMERAS AT ONCE
• Front and back record together, into two separate MP4 files.
• Audio is captured once and copied into both videos, so neither clip is silent.
• Each recording is named by date and time, so the pair always stays together.
WAYS TO START
• A big record button, and a one-press auto button that stops itself after a length you choose.
• A separate home-screen icon that starts and stops recording in a single tap.
• Optional volume-button control, so you can start and stop hands-free. This one uses Android’s AccessibilityService — see “VOLUME-BUTTON CONTROL” below.
KEEPS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND
• Recording carries on with the screen off or another app open.
• The cameras are released the moment you stop, so nothing else on your phone is blocked.
VOLUME-BUTTON CONTROL (OPTIONAL — USES THE ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE)
DualCam Recorder includes an optional feature that starts and stops a recording when you
press a volume button, so you can record hands-free with the screen off or another app
open. To detect those button presses, this feature uses Android’s AccessibilityService
API (the service is called “DualCam volume keys”).
• The service is used for app functionality only — it detects presses of the volume-up
and volume-down buttons and nothing else.
• It does not read, collect, store or share your screen content, text, passwords,
notifications, or any other personal or sensitive data, and it collects no data for
analytics, advertising or any other purpose.
• Nothing it detects leaves your device.
• Your volume buttons keep changing the volume as normal.
• The feature is entirely optional and off unless you choose it. The app shows a full
in-app explanation and asks for your consent before Android’s Accessibility settings
are ever opened, and you can turn the service off at any time in Android Settings >
Accessibility, or ignore the feature completely — every other part of the app works
without it.
• DualCam Recorder is not an accessibility tool and is not designed for users with
disabilities; it declares isAccessibilityTool="false".
A PRIVATE, HIDDEN GALLERY
• Recordings are saved to a hidden folder that your normal Gallery does not show, so they
never get mixed in with your other videos.
• A built-in Recordings screen lets you play, share or permanently delete them.
SAVE WHERE YOU WANT
• Keep everything in the hidden folder on your phone, or
• Upload straight to your own Google Drive — whichever you choose, one or the other.
MADE YOUR WAY
• Resolution, frame rate and bitrate.
• Choose which video carries the microphone, or record with no sound at all.
• Set the one-press recording length and a maximum recording length.
• Vibration feedback on start and stop.
PRIVACY FIRST
No account. No ads. No tracking. Your recordings stay on your device unless you choose to
upload them to your own Google Drive. Nothing about your videos is ever sent to us.
Capture both sides of the moment — at the same time.
