Sorts every app into folders that name themselves. No gaps, no clutter.
Your phone has three hundred apps on it. Tidy files them.
One tap sorts every app on your device into named folders — Talk, Work,
Money, Games, Photos — and lays them out on a grid with no holes in it. It
takes a few seconds, it shows you exactly what it plans to do first, and
you can undo it.
WHAT IT DOES
• Works out categories on your device, from what each app declares it can
do. Nothing about your apps is uploaded. Tidy has no internet permission
at all — check the permissions list.
• Shows you the plan before it runs: the folders you will get, how many
apps move, how many screens you save. Nothing changes until you tap
Apply, and one tap puts it back.
• Never leaves gaps. Positions come from the order of your icons, so
uninstalling an app closes the hole behind it instead of leaving a
black square.
• Names folders in words. "Work A–I" and "Work J–Z", not "Folder 1" and
"Folder 2" — a large category splits into ranges you can read from the
outside.
MAKE IT YOURS
• Create your own categories. Name one, pick an icon from a browsable set,
choose a colour. Tidy keeps it through every re-sort and never files
anything into it by itself.
• Change any app's category in two taps — or tick a dozen apps and re-file
them together, from the grid or from inside folders.
• Drag apps between folders, onto the dock, or across screens.
• Group by smart folders, A–Z, how often you open things, or icon colour.
• Order inside them by name, most opened, most screen time, recently used,
newest, or rainbow.
THE REST
• App drawer with search that understands initials — type "gm" for Gmail.
• Adjustable grid, icon size, labels, light and dark themes, Material You.
• A dock that follows the apps you actually open, or stays where you put it.
• Layout history — every re-sort saves a restore point, and "put it back
how Tidy found it" always works.
• Hide apps from home without uninstalling them.
• Optional background re-sort, with an undo notification.
PERMISSIONS
Usage access is optional. Grant it and Tidy can order apps by how often you
open them and keep your most-used apps in the dock. Refuse it and
everything else still works. The counts are read on the device and never
leave it.
