Expense tracker and budget planner with a calculator keypad. Private, offline.
BudgetPad is a private budget calculator and expense tracker for people who like to record their money by hand. Type an amount on a real calculator keypad, set a monthly budget, and see where your money goes on clear charts. Everything stays on your device: no account to create, no sign-in, no ads, and no internet connection needed. Add an entry in seconds Tap + and use the calculator keypad to enter or work out an amount. Type 12.99 × 2 + 5 and BudgetPad saves the result. Record expenses, income and transfers between accounts, choose a category and account, set the date, and add a note or a receipt photo. Save frequent entries as bookmarks, duplicate an entry, and undo a delete if you change your mind. A hardware keyboard works on the keypad too. See every day in the Ledger The Ledger is your spending tracker. View entries by day, on a calendar with daily totals, by week, by month, or in total. Search notes and categories, select several entries at once, and delete them with undo. Plan your month Plan works as a simple budget planner. Set an overall budget or a limit for any category, daily, weekly or monthly. With an overall monthly budget, BudgetPad shows what is left and how much is safe to spend per day for the rest of the budget month. Your budget month can start on any day from the 1st to the 28th, such as payday, and your week can start on any weekday. Budget alerts tell you when a budget reaches 80% and when it goes over. Understand your spending Reports turn your entries into a month-to-date spending curve with a month-end forecast, a breakdown by category and by account, a comparison with the same days last month, six months of spending history and a balance trend. The exact figures are listed under each chart. The Overview adds short insights about your pace, your savings rate, your top category and unusual spikes. More ways to stay on track • Accounts for cash, bank and cards, with balances and net worth • Savings goals with contributions and withdrawals • Debts: money you owe and money owed to you, with payments • Recurring transactions and bill reminders as local notifications • Categories and subcategories with icons • Home-screen widgets for your balance and quick add Private by design BudgetPad is an offline budget app. It does not request internet access, so your entries, receipt photos and reports stay on this device. There are no ads and no analytics. Protect the app with a PIN and unlock with your fingerprint or face where your device supports it; BudgetPad locks again after 30 seconds in the background. Hide balances with one tap, and widgets stay private while the PIN is on. Your data, in your hands Back up and restore your data as a file, import or export CSV, and create Excel (XLSX) spreadsheets or printable PDF reports whenever you want a copy. Phone, tablet and TV On phones, add entries from the + button or a home-screen widget. On tablets and foldables, the larger screen gets a two-column layout with a sidebar. On Android TV, see your Overview, Ledger, Plan and Reports on the big screen with D-pad navigation designed for the TV remote, and hide the screen at any time with the Menu key. Make it yours Choose from 45 currencies. Amounts are stored exactly, so totals never drift from rounding. Pick a light or dark theme, use wallpaper colors on Android 12 and later, and run the app in any of 8 languages. Good to know BudgetPad is a manual money tracker: it does not connect to banks or import transactions automatically. All entries use one currency at a time, and BudgetPad does not convert exchange rates. Nothing is stored in the cloud, so keep a backup file when you move to a new device.
