Conservative news headlines, fast and private. Unofficial CFP feed reader.
CFP Reader is a fast, no-nonsense conservative news reader built around the Citizen Free Press headline feed. It is an independent app and is not published by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Citizen Free Press. Headlines come from the site's public feed, and every story belongs to the publisher it links to. If you want conservative news headlines in one place without the noise, this is it: the same feed that Citizen Free Press curates all day, in an app that loads fast, keeps a searchable archive on your phone, and never asks you to sign in. THE FEED • All the latest headlines, grouped by day so you never lose your place • Headlines keep the color Citizen Free Press gives them: red for the lead story, green for its follow-ups • Publisher icon and domain on every headline, so you know where a link goes before you tap it • Open the source article directly, or the Citizen Free Press page, your choice per story or for everything • Hide read stories with one switch when you only want what's new, and undo Mark all as read if you tap it by mistake • Stories open inside the app ON YOUR HOME SCREEN • A resizable widget with the latest headlines, each showing its publisher, how long ago it went up, and whether you have read it • Tap a headline on the widget to go straight to the story • Refreshes on its own FIND IT AGAIN • Search your own archive of up to 20,000 headlines, narrowed by date range and by publisher • Save stories with one tap from any headline row • Tag what you save with your own labels, then filter your saved list by tag • Topics: name a subject, give it a few words, and see every story about it in the feed and across your whole archive MAKE IT YOURS • Mute sources you never want to see, from a searchable list of every publisher in the feed • Mute keywords to skip whole subjects • Topics to narrow the feed to just what you follow, one tap to switch • Alert keywords, get notified only on the subjects you care about • Every rule shows how many past headlines it would have caught before you keep it • Light and dark themes NOTIFICATIONS THAT RESPECT YOU • Enable notifications at the interval you choose • One alert that leads with the day's top story and lists the next five, not a separate buzz per headline • Optional daily digest at a time you pick • Everything is generated on your phone. There is no push server and no device token. Nothing about you is registered anywhere. PRIVACY, PLAINLY This app has no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no server of its own. I can't see what you read, search, save, or mute, because there is nowhere for that information to arrive. The one exception is advertising: the free app shows ads served by Google AdMob, and Google collects data through them - described in full in the privacy policy. Keeping everything on your device would normally mean losing it with the device, so you can export your saved stories, your headline archive and every setting to a single file, and restore it on your next phone. FREE, WITH AN HONEST DEAL Every feature is free. The app is supported by a few ads placed in the feed. No interstitials, no pop-ups, nothing floating over your content. If you'd rather read without them, a single one-time purchase removes ads permanently. I built this for me and I dislike ads as much as the next person. CFP Reader is written and maintained by one person. Questions, bug reports, or ideas: support@freeradicalsgroup.com.
