TickCalm is a pomodoro timer that does one thing properly: it keeps counting when you put the phone down. A TIMER YOU CAN TRUST Start a focus block, pocket the phone, and TickCalm still knows exactly when the phase ends. The countdown is anchored to the clock rather than to the screen being on, so nothing is lost while the app is in the background or closed. While a phase runs, a quiet ongoing notification carries Pause and Skip. The end of a phase arrives as its own high priority alert, and you can set it to repeat every minute, up to 5 times, until you open TickCalm or tap Dismiss on the alert. If you would rather start each phase yourself, TickCalm shows how long a finished phase has been waiting for you. Or set your own focus, short break and long break lengths anywhere from 1 to 120 minutes, and choose how many sessions come before a long break. Auto start the next phase or wait for a tap. Keep the screen on while you work, if you like. SEE WHERE YOUR TIME WENT Every completed session is recorded, and a Stats tab puts today, this week and all time in one place with a bar for each of the last seven days. Give a session a label such as Study, Writing or Client work, and see this week broken down by label. Set a daily focus goal in minutes and watch the progress bar fill. Build a streak of focused days, with milestones at 7, 30 and 100. SOUND TO WORK TO Three optional ambient loops play while you focus: rain, brown noise and white noise. Off by default, one tap to start, with a volume slider in Settings. They keep playing when your ringer is on silent, because that is exactly when you are trying to focus. They play while TickCalm is open and stop when you leave the app. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN A home screen widget shows the current phase and the time left, with a button that opens TickCalm and starts or pauses the timer.
