3-axis seismograph & vibration meter. No full-screen ads while measuring.
VibraScope turns your phone into a vibration meter and seismograph - measure shaking, engines, appliances, and floors with the motion sensor already in your pocket.
IT LOOKS LIKE A REAL INSTRUMENT
A live analog needle gauge, three seismograph-style ink traces for X/Y/Z, and readouts stamped like an instrument plate give the whole thing the feel of a classic paper chart recorder, not another flat app screen.
MEASURE WITHOUT INTERRUPTIONS
Nothing breaks your reading mid-measurement - there are no full-screen ads on the measuring screen itself, so a reading you're timing carefully never gets wiped out by an ad popping up.
LIVE ANALOG GAUGE, THREE-AXIS TRACES
Watch a color-coded intensity gauge respond in real time, or switch to the three-axis seismograph traces (or a single combined magnitude trace) depending on what you're trying to see.
RMS, PEAK, AND ESTIMATED INTENSITY
Every session tracks RMS, peak, and session-max acceleration in m/s² or g, plus an estimated shaking intensity on the MMI scale (I-XII) and the dominant vibration frequency in Hz.
ZERO CALIBRATION AND HOLD
Uneven surfaces throw off a raw reading. Zero calibration corrects your baseline in one tap, and hold freezes a reading exactly when you need to note it down.
SAVE, REVIEW, EXPORT
Save measurements with a title and notes, review them anytime, and export charts as images or raw data as CSV whenever you need the numbers outside the app.
PHONES, TABLETS, 8 LANGUAGES
Everything is measured and stored on your device - no account, no sign-up, and the motion sensor itself needs no special permission. The app works equally well on phones and tablets, in 8 languages.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can this replace a proper seismometer or vibration analyzer?
No. Readings come from your phone's built-in consumer-grade sensors and are estimates, not calibrated instrument measurements - they don't replace official seismic monitoring or professional vibration analysis equipment.
What can I actually use it for?
Checking washing machines and engines for unusual vibration, monitoring workshop tools, testing floors and shelves for stability, classroom physics demonstrations, or simply seeing every small tremor around you drawn out in real time.
Do I need to calibrate it every time I use it?
Only if you're placing the phone on an uneven surface. Tap zero calibration once you've set the phone down and it corrects the baseline instantly - no need to repeat it unless you move to a new spot.
Will ads interrupt a measurement in progress?
No. The measuring screen itself never shows full-screen ads, so a reading you're timing runs uninterrupted from start to finish. Removing ads everywhere else is a single one-time purchase.
What does removing ads include?
A one-time purchase removes ads throughout the app and unlocks unlimited saved measurement history instead of a limited recent list, plus higher-resolution chart exports for sharing or printing.
Does the app need location or microphone permission?
No. VibraScope reads only the built-in accelerometer, which requires no special permission on either platform - there's no location tracking and no audio recording involved at any point.
Can I switch units between metric and imperial while measuring?
Yes. Acceleration displays in m/s² or g depending on your preference, and you can switch at any time from settings without losing a measurement already in progress.
