Maharashtra Police Exam Prep - offline practice for Maharashtra police recruitment exams
PLEASE READ: UNOFFICIAL APP
Maharashtra Police Exam Prep is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated
with, endorsed by or connected to the Maharashtra Police, the Government of
Maharashtra or any government body, and it provides no government service. It
does not reproduce past examination papers: every question was written for this
app in the style of the examination. Notifications, syllabi, paper patterns and
question counts change, so always confirm details against the current
notification.
Everything is already on your phone. The app works in aeroplane mode, on a bus
and in a village with no signal. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no
in-app purchase.
QUESTIONS IN ENGLISH AND MARATHI
Every question exists in both languages as one linked pair: the wording, all five
options and the explanation travel together, so the correct option is the same
option in both languages. If a translation is ever disputed, the English version
settles it.
COVERAGE
- 1,140 practice questions
- six subjects: General Knowledge, Reasoning, Mathematics, Marathi, English,
and Police Acts and Rules
- five options per question, with the answer position spread evenly across
A to E
- 37 glossary terms covering police ranks, legal terms, writs and forensic
terms
CHAPTER-WISE PRACTICE
Pick a subject and practise its questions. Each question shows its difficulty and
its type, and the explanation appears as soon as you answer.
RANDOM TEST
A random test draws 10 questions from all six subjects by default, scores you at
the end and reviews every answer.
SETTINGS
The settings screen holds the language, the number of questions per test (10, 20
or 30) and whether the answer options are shuffled, plus a button that restores
the defaults.
WHAT EVERY QUESTION CARRIES
- an explanation in both languages
- a source note naming where the fact came from
- a difficulty level: easy, medium or hard
- the question type (recall a value, or spot a wrong pairing)
THE SOURCES SCREEN
A screen in the app repeats that it is not connected to any government body, and
lists the sites below as tappable links that open in your browser.
LAW CONTENT: SECTION NUMBERS CHANGE
Some questions refer to the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal
Procedure, 1973. The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Bharatiya Nagarik
Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 replaced them with effect from 1 July 2024 and renumbered
the provisions. The app says this on the sources screen as well. Verify against
the current statute before relying on any section number.
GLOSSARY
37 terms in four categories - police ranks, legal terms, writs and forensic
terms. Search by term or filter by category.
DETAILS WORTH KNOWING
- The app works offline. The only outbound links are the sites below, and only
when you tap them.
- Your answers are not stored. Between launches the app remembers only your
language and the settings you chose.
- The app requests no sensitive permission, so no permission dialog appears.
SOURCES
The government information here - police recruitment, ranks and the law - is
drawn from the government bodies responsible for it. All four sources are on
the app's Sources and disclaimer screen. This app is not affiliated with any of
them.
