Guitar chord charts across the fretboard, plus CAGED, triads and backing tracks
You already know one way to play a G. ChordSeek is a guitar chord finder that shows you all the others: every playable shape across the fretboard, ranked so the voicings guitar players actually reach for come first. Look up guitar chords by name in any key and see every place you can play each one. Every shape is drawn as a proper chord chart, with finger numbers, muted and open strings, and the interval and note name under each string, so you see what you are playing and not just where your fingers go. It works at every stage, from a beginner's first guitar chords to a 13th high up the neck. Once the shapes are under your fingers, ChordSeek puts them to work with the CAGED system, triads and inversions, chord progressions in time, and backing tracks to jam over. GUITAR CHORD FINDER • 24 chord types in all twelve keys: major, minor, 7, maj7, m7, sus2, sus4, dim, aug, 6, m6, 9, maj9, m9, add9, m(add9), 6/9, 11, maj11, m11, m7♭5, 13, maj13 and m13 • Open chords, barre chords, movable shapes and jazz guitar chords, all the way up the neck • Ranked by how often guitarists really play each shape, so the first result is usually the one you wanted • Chord names follow the key: in F the IV reads B♭, not A♯ • Favorite any shape and it is waiting the next time you open the app GUITAR CHORD CHARTS YOU CAN HEAR • Tap play to hear any voicing on a nylon-string guitar • Strum it, or arpeggiate it note by note • The strings light up in time with the sound, so you can follow every finger THE CAGED SYSTEM • The five shapes, C, A, G, E and D, that every chord on the guitar can be played with, and where each one sits on the neck • The whole fretboard drawn end to end, with the shape you picked lit on it • Walk a chord from open position up to the twelfth fret and watch the same five shapes repeat • The CAGED system is how guitarists stop memorizing chord boxes and start seeing the neck GUITAR TRIADS AND INVERSIONS • Guitar triads, the compact three-note shapes rhythm players lean on, mapped across string sets • Root position, first inversion and second inversion, with the same charts, sound and note names GUITAR CHORD PROGRESSIONS, PRACTICED IN TIME • 32 chord progressions across pop, rock, blues and jazz, folk, soul, cinematic, Sertanejo and Cumbia • Each in the meter and tempo it is really played in, from 2/4 to 6/8 and 12/8 • Adjustable tempo, a metronome click, and strum patterns that follow the time signature • Pick the voicing for every chord, change key, loop it, and save the ones you come back to • Ready-made starter practices, from beginner open chords and basic barre chords to basic jazz JAM TRACKS: GUITAR BACKING TRACKS • Jam Tracks are backing tracks to play guitar over, with the chord chart and the voicings right there on screen • Each track is cut to whole bars, so it loops without a gap and you can keep soloing • Two free tracks to start, 12 Bar Blues in E and Rock Ballad in A.
