PDF Tools does eleven everyday PDF jobs on your phone, without sending your files anywhere. It never asks for access to all your files. You pick one document, PDF Tools works on that one, and nothing is uploaded. There is no account to create. Every operation runs on the device. If you would rather not pay, you can unlock any one Pro tool for a single use by watching a short video. HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS • Extract text gives you the text. It does not yet produce a searchable PDF — that needs word-by-word positioning and is planned for a later version. • The OCR model is built into the app rather than downloaded. That is why it works with no connection, and also why the app is larger than a plain viewer. • Scan uses the document scanner built into Google Play services. It needs Google Play services on the phone, and the scanner may be downloaded the first time you use it. The app itself still asks for no camera permission. • "Remove password" means removing a password you already know from your own file. The app cannot open a document you do not have the password for. PRIVACY Your PDFs are processed on your device. They are not collected, uploaded or shared. The app does show ads, and ads need a connection — the PDF work itself does not.
