Walk or draw the fence line: posts by type, gates, concrete and a PDF quote.
Mark out a fence before you buy a single post. Walk the line with your phone or draw it on the satellite map, and Fence Calc works out where every post goes and what you have to order.
THE PLAN OF YOUR FENCE
• Corners are read from the line itself: any bend sharper than the angle you choose gets a corner post.
• Place gates along the line: a walk gate, a driveway gate or your own width. The opening is taken out of the fence length and gets its two gate posts.
• Posts are spread evenly, never wider than your maximum spacing: no odd short bay at the end.
• Every post is counted by type: end, corner, gate and line posts.
THE LIST TO ORDER
• Panels, one per bay. Or rails and pickets, with your picket width and gap. Or mesh and wire by the roll, with as many rows as you need.
• Rails are counted bay by bay, from post to post.
• Concrete is worked out hole by hole from the depth, the diameter and the post width, then turned into bags of the size you buy.
• Line posts driven without concrete? Then only end, corner and gate posts are set.
• Add 5, 10 or 15 percent for waste.
YOUR PRICES, YOUR QUOTE
Tap a line of the list to enter its price; each gate has its own. Fence Calc adds it up and makes a PDF quote: a drawing of the fence, the order list and the total, with your customer's name at the top. It never invents a price: you enter yours, it does the arithmetic. Save your spacing, holes and prices as defaults for the next job.
SET OUT THE POSTS ON SITE
The Install step takes you from post to post: the next one to set, with an arrow and the distance left to walk. Tap Planted and it moves on; tomorrow it picks up where you stopped. The staking plan numbers every post on the map, with its distance from the start. Drew the line at your desk? Follow it on site, live.
WALK IT OR DRAW IT
• Walk: press Start and follow the line. Recording goes on with the screen locked, and you can drop a marker with a photo at a gate or a stake. On a sloping field with GPS altitude, the plan can count lengths along the ground.
• Draw: tap the corners on the plan, satellite or terrain map, drag them under a magnifier, set a side to an exact length, or stand still on a corner and let the app average your position.
FEET OR METERS
Spacing in feet, holes in inches, bags in pounds; or meters, centimeters and kilograms. The app follows your settings.
HONEST ABOUT ACCURACY
A phone GPS is good to a few meters. Every walked length shows its ± margin. For a short run, drawing on the satellite image is more precise. This is a tool to estimate and set out a fence, not a legal boundary survey.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
• No account and no sign-up.
• No subscription. A single purchase removes the ads.
• Your lines, plans and prices stay on your phone. They leave it only when you share a PDF or a file yourself.
SHARE AND EXPORT
The PDF quote, a PDF report of the line with each side and its bearing, an image for a messaging app, or the line itself as GPX, KML, KMZ, CSV or GeoJSON.
Quantities are estimates. Check them before you order.
