Your fields by season: seed rate, NPK in bags, spray tanks, yield and margin
Every field, every season, on your phone. Seed Calc keeps a register of your fields, khasra number and village included, and turns each field's real area into what to buy and what you earned. ▬ YOUR FIELDS, SEASON BY SEASON • A field has a name, a khasra, survey or gat number, a village, an area and notes. • Add kharif, rabi or zaid seasons with the crop and the year. Each season keeps its seed, fertiliser, spraying and harvest figures, so next year starts from this year. • Find a field by its name, plot number, village or crop. ▬ THE REAL AREA OF THE FIELD • Walk the bund with GPS: area and perimeter grow as you walk, and the app tells you when the loop is closed. • Corner by corner: stop at each corner and the app averages the position. On a four-corner field it beats walking the whole bund. • Draw the field on the satellite map, with a pond or a house taken out, and read the length of every side. • Or type the area from your land record. • Bigha, guntha, kanal, marla, cent, ground, acres or hectares, even "3 bigha 4 katha". • Accuracy is shown as a ± figure. It is a measurement, not a legal survey. ▬ SEED WITH GERMINATION Row spacing, plant spacing, seeds per hill and the germination rate of your seed lot give the seeds per acre. Add the 1000-grain weight to get kilograms and seed bags for the whole field. ▬ N-P-K INTO BAGS Type the dose from your soil health card or your agriculture officer, per acre or per hectare. The app works out urea, DAP and MOP, then the bags to buy: 45 kg urea, 50 kg DAP and MOP, all editable, with full bags and the loose kilograms. It warns you when DAP already brings more nitrogen than asked. Add the price of a bag and read the total. ▬ SPRAYING Spray volume per acre, tank size, and the dose as the label writes it, per litre of water or per acre. You get the number of tanks, the product for each full tank, and the right dose for the last half-filled tank, where mistakes happen. ▬ YIELD AND MARGIN Quintals harvested, your selling price and your costs (seed, labour, tractor hire, diesel): yield per acre, income, margin and the production cost of one quintal. ▬ IN THE FIELD, WITHOUT SIGNAL • All calculations work offline. GPS measuring needs no mobile network. • Measuring goes on with the screen locked. • A PDF report of a measured field, with the map to scale, its sides and the ±, or one image to share. • Export a boundary as GPX, KML, CSV or GeoJSON. ▬ YOUR NUMBERS, YOUR PHONE • No account, no subscription. A single purchase removes the ads. • Your fields stay on your phone. Only what you choose to export or share leaves it. • The app never supplies a dose or a price: the numbers are yours.
