View current activity, package and class names with a live QA overlay.
Find the current activity and package name of any Android app without a computer. DevLens puts a small floating overlay on top of every app and shows the top activity class name and package as you move between screens. No root and no adb shell dumpsys needed. It is a pocket toolkit for Android developers, QA testers and test automation engineers.
Live overlay for the current screen
Open any app and the overlay tells you which app and which activity are in front. Tap a name to copy it. Move the overlay wherever it suits you, change its width, text size and opacity, and choose whether it shows the package, the class name or both. A Quick Settings tile turns monitoring on and off without opening DevLens.
Activity Log
Every screen you open is saved with a timestamp, so you can retrace a navigation path after the fact. Search the history, hide noisy apps, and use regex patterns to filter out class names you do not care about. Export the log as PDF, CSV or plain text.
Copy Log
Every package name and class name you copy is kept in one place, ready to paste into a test script, a ticket or a chat with your team.
App Explorer, an app inspector for installed apps
Browse every installed app and see its version, target SDK, min SDK, installer, install and update dates, build info and components. Open the full list of activities in an app, see which ones are exported or launchable, and read their intent filters. Launch an exported activity directly, or force launch one when you need to reach a hidden screen. DevLens can also copy the matching adb shell am start command, and you can export the list of installed apps.
Deep link tester
Send an intent or a deep link, such as an https link or a custom scheme, and see which app and screen opens it.
QA session recorder and launch times
Start a recording, walk through the app you are testing, and stop. DevLens turns the session into a step list with times, shows the screens where you spent the longest, the time spent per app, and how long each app took to launch. Share a session as steps for a bug report, as a CSV for a spreadsheet, or as an adb script that replays the same screens.
Made for testing work
If you write Appium or UI Automator tests, DevLens gives you the appPackage and appActivity values in seconds. QA testers can attach exact screen names to bug reports. Developers can check navigation, deep links and screen transitions on a real device.
Privacy and the Accessibility Service
DevLens uses the Android Accessibility Service API only to detect which app and screen are in the foreground. It receives the package name and the activity class name of the window on top. It does not read the text or content on your screen and it does not perform any actions for you. Your logs, sessions and copy history stay on your device unless you export or share them.
Other permissions:
• Display over other apps: shows the floating overlay
• Notifications: keeps monitoring running while you test
• Query all packages: lists installed apps and their activities in App Explorer
DevLens is free and supported by ads. A one-time Remove Ads purchase removes all ads. There is no subscription.
DevLens was previously called ActivityLens.
